Providence Public Schools District (PPSD) seeks exceptional SUBSTITUTE RETIREE TEACHERS to join our community of teachers, students and stakeholders. 

 

We serve approximately 22,000 students at 37 elementary, middle, and high schools. Approximately 55% of students come from homes where English is not the primary language spoken. Combined, our students and families speak over 75 different languages and hail from 91 countries of origin.

 

Under direction of the school principal and/or appropriate supervisor, the SUBSTITUTE RETIREE TEACHER will teach and instruct students in academic subject matter, social, emotional, behavioral, and educational skill areas.

*Please note, the retiree rate will increase to $277/day effective 09/01/2026.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor's Degree in applicable field from accredited institution.
